News

Things have been moving quickly and I haven't had time to update the blogs or reach out to the people who have viewed my work. I renamed the site Panichella Design to showcase all of my design work. I've recently found out that Ponoko is located in Anaheim, and already received my first prototype. The quality looks great and I'm happy with the cutting, it looks very precise with very little tear out. I will upload some photos when I have it put together.

I want another opportunity to thank IDSA and everybody who had a chance to check out my furniture at DAAPWorks 2012. I am now the proud owner of the yellow Cinco designed IDSA Award for my work in this years show. Again, I want to thank all my professors and friends, my maker mentor Kevin Gunn, and Kevin Doyle for his awesome photography. Hey guys, an introduction to me and my project.

My name is Jon Panichella, I'm a senior at the University of Cincinnati, studying product design. This entire project is my senior capstone, as well as my first entrepreneurial effort. Made by Robots is a project dedicated to harnessing the power of the emerging maker culture. Utilizing the service Ponoko, my furniture and products can now be made available to anybody.

I'm expecting to formally launch the store and begin taking pre-orders by early June. In the meantime I will keep this page updated with developments related to this project.
